This is one of those messages that’s not easy to write—but it comes straight from our hearts.
Fifteen years ago, Mike and I started Simply Savory with a simple dream: to create delicious, easy-to-make mixes that would bring people together around the table. We never could have imagined the incredible community that would grow from that little dream. For the past 15 years, you’ve welcomed our products into your homes, your holidays, your parties, and your family traditions—and that is something we will never take for granted.
Since the very beginning, our prices have stayed the same: $6 per mix, with generous discounts for bundles. In all those years, we never raised them—not once. Mike and I have done nearly all of the work ourselves—Mike creating and perfecting every recipe, and Kay handling packaging, shipping, customer service, and the day-to-day operations that keep everything moving. Every year, we’ve been blessed to grow busier and busier—especially in the fall, our busiest season.
This past year, things reached a turning point.
During peak season, I had a bad fall that resulted in a fractured elbow and cracked ribs. We were suddenly forced to hire someone to step in. For the first time, we truly saw what it would cost to replace the work that Mike and Kay had quietly been carrying for years.
That moment made us stop, take a deep breath, and take a hard, honest look at our numbers.
Over the last 15 years, the cost of ingredients, packaging, ink, paper, and shipping has steadily climbed. We absorbed every increase along the way—simply trying to cover our expenses and pay our taxes—because we never wanted to pass that burden on to you. But one thing has never changed: our commitment to quality.
We have not cut corners. In fact, we continue to use high-quality zip-top bags with a strong moisture barrier to keep our mixes fresher longer, and we proudly include more product per bag than many competitors, ensuring bold, full flavor in every recipe.
As we grow—and as we get a little older—we’ve realized we simply cannot continue at the same pace without making a change that allows this business to be healthy, sustainable, and full of life.
So, with great care and a lot of prayer, we’ve made the difficult decision to implement our first price increase in 15 years, effective January 1st.

Retail: $6.99 each
Bundle Savings:

- 5 for $32.50 ($6.25 each)
- 10 for $60.00 ($6.00 each)
- 15 for $82.50 ($5.50 each)
- 20 for $100.00 ($5.00 each)
Shipping:
- $5 flat-rate shipping
- Free shipping on orders over $60
This change allows us to move into an exciting new season for Simply Savory.
Instead of Kay working late nights just to get orders out the door, I’ll be able to spend more time behind the scenes—planning, organizing, communicating, and supporting the business—while Mike continues doing what he loves most: creating and perfecting the recipes you know and love. This new balance will allow us to develop new products, share more promotions, send more emails, and connect with you more intentionally.
Most of all, it allows us to continue doing what we love—bringing comforting, delicious flavors into your home for years to come.
We hope Simply Savory will always be part of your family gatherings, celebrations, holidays, and everyday moments, just as you have been part of our story for the last 15 years.
